Australian Rainforest Sanctuary is home to almost 200 species of rainforest flora and sanctuary to more than 126 species of native birds. The Australian Rainforest Sanctuary is structurally a warm temperate rainforest which contains a great number of species normally found in subtropical rainforests. The Forest is located in a sheltered valley on an outcropping of Narrabeen shale. It is very significant as the southern limit of a great number of sub-tropical flora. The park seats up to 300 under cover.
