Conceived to offer healthy competition to the world famous Sichuan Cuisine by offering a new culinary experience, The Tandoor – Chengdu opened in December 1999 at Sunjoy Inn, Ren Min Nan Lu. It was not only the first Indian Restaurant in Chengdu but also the first in the whole Southwest of China. The interiors highlight typical architecture of Buddhist and Mughal, making you feel like dinning inside a magnificent palace and traveling back to the days of ancient glory of kings and queens. The restaurant can seat around 100 people including two private dinning rooms. The whole team including chefs, waiters and the management is from India to ensure an authentic Indian culinary experience.
