The timeless means once used to navigate Earth’s largest ocean are maintained by the world-class watermen and women of Kainalu Ocean Sports. Kainalu, or “ocean wave,” honors the eternal relationship between the mountain, “mauka,” and the sea, “makai.” Carrying on the ancient expertise of their Hawaiian elders, Kainalu links the practices of the past with the people of the present, imparting timeless wisdom to accompany your transformative journey via land or sea. As your outrigger canoe glides across the crystal clear waters, inching home towards Mauna Lani’s crescent of white sand beach, return to the soulful gathering place that is Surf Shack, where you, too, can share the memories you’ve made at Mauna Lani.
