Ayuntamiento de Alamedilla is located in the center of the basin of the Guadahortuna River, on a plain surrounded by low hills. Alamedilla is one of the municipalities of the province where more antiquity and importance the human presence had in prehistoric times. From the town of Alamedilla magnificent landscapes can be observed, contrasting the semi-arid environment with fertile lands watered by the river Guadahortuna. It is a steep place formed by three enormous rocks that must have served as a refuge for the inhabitants of the area in medieval times, as confirmed by the remains found there.
