Built in the early 19th century and having celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2009, The Royal Naval Dockyard was once Britain’s largest naval base outside the United Kingdom. Their beautifully restored historical buildings, surrounded by sparkling crystal clear waters at the western tip of the island, provide a spectacular backdrop to everything from great food and shopping to wonderful watersports, magnificent museums, working arts and crafts studios – and even the chance to swim with dolphins!

Crystal and Fantasy Caves

The Crystal & Fantasy Caves are Bermuda's top visitor attraction for some very spectacular reasons. Deep, clear underground pools of azure blue water. Incredible formations of every size and shape imaginable. Cave ceilings adorned with rare chandelier clusters and delicate crystallized soda straws. St. George has numerous historical sites as it is home to St. Peter’s Church, the oldest Anglican church in the Western hemisphere, Fort St. Catherine, the Old State House, and Gates Fort. There is plenty of history to be seen! Also a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, St. George’s was founded in 1612 and was Bermuda’s capital until 1815, when it was changed to Hamilton. Somers Wharf, a shopping and dining complex, is located along the Water Street dock area. Here, you will enjoy visiting the many boutique shops and picking up souvenirs from the island. Also, be sure to visit the Bermuda Perfumery, where you can tour their facility and sample exclusive perfumes.
