The State Cinema is Tasmania's oldest operating movie house. Since 1914 this heritage building, with its intimate atmosphere, excellent accoustic properties and films of quality from around the world, has been entertaining generations of Tasmanians. The State is available for private hiring. Perfect for business presentations and launches, school and club fundraising, or any promotional or special event. The State's equipment can project VHS, DVD, BETA and slide onto the big screen.
