Big Wheel Bike Tours

We are committed to the belief that a bicycle is an excellent mode of sightseeing. It allows you to see, smell, and hear more than you would from behind the wheel of an automobile, while at the same time creating the natural high that good outdoor exercise produces. What a perfect marriage of travel and exercise to showcase the beauty of Southern California! We provide: · Custom-fit bicycle for each rider. · A ratio of one tour guide for every 10 riders. · Support vehicle equipped with first-aid supplies, walkie- talkies and cell phone. · Snacks and refreshments. · Full water bottle on each bike. · Custom-fit helmets for each rider. · Knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic tour guides. Tours Big Wheel Bike Tours designs tours for all ranges of cycling experience and ability. Our named tours are easy enough to be manageable for the novice cyclist, yet also provide plenty of variety for the intermediate-to-advanced cyclist on vacation. Our Off-Road and Custom Tours can be designed to fit the needs of nearly any client. Each tour features a brief history of the various regions within the Coachella Valley and the surrounding mountains. Additionally, we can create a custom tour, ranging from a leisurely cruise through the valley to an off-road romp in the mountains. The following tours may be scheduled for mornings or afternoons, with a start time dependent upon your needs. Bike Rentals All types of bicycles available for rent. Children's, trailers, mountain, hybrid, high performance mountain, and road bikes are all delivered to you! Safety We pride ourselves on our safety record. In the over 75,000 rider-miles we have produced, we have not had a single safety incident. Our perfect record is due in no small part to our experience and attention to detail. We maintain a 10-to-1 rider to staff ratio on all of our trips, and we always include a driver and support vehicle equipped with water, snacks, and a first aid kit. Before the ride begins, our staff gives a safety presentation, route description, and explanation of the bike's function. At least one first aid and CPR-certified guide accompanies every tour.

Rolling Hills covered with vineyards, expansive views that reach to the highest mountains in four Southern California counties, air swept clean by ocean breezes coming through a gap in the coastal mountains, shopping, antiquing, fine dining, golf, hot air balloon rides and Old Town all combine to make Temecula Valley an exciting place to visit for a day or a weekend. Eighteen wineries produce award-winning premium wines made possible by a unique microclimate and well-drained decomposed granite soils. Our 1,100-foot elevation makes for cool summer nights, and cooling breezes come through the vineyards every afternoon throughout the summer. There is a feeling among wine lovers that a fine wine tastes even better if it is consumed in the region in which it is made. Why not test this theory by coming to visit us, tour our wineries, and enjoy a bottle of our world class wine with lunch in one of our winery's inviting picnic areas? Open year-round, Temecula Valley is perfect for any reason, in any season. Here is a list of some of our wineries: Alex's Red Barn Winery Baily Vineyard & Winery Bella Vista Cilurzo Vineyard & Winery Callaway Vineyard & Winery Churon Winery Falkner Winery Filsinger Vineyards & Winery Hart Winery Keyways Vineyard & Winery Leonesse Cellars Maurice Car'rie Winery Miramonte Winery Mount Palomar Winery Palumbo Family Vineyards & Winery Ponte Family Winery South Coast Winery Stuart Cellars Thornton Winery Van Roekel Vineyards & Winery Wiens Family Cellars Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyard
