Cancellation Policy

No booking may be cancelled by the Hirer except by the agreement in writing of both parties and upon the payment to UMC Ltd of the following cancellation charges: If the Event is cancelled more than six months before the commencement date of the Event then the Hirer will pay to UMC Ltd the fee of 20% of the Estimated Net Income If the Event is cancelled more than three months but less than six months before the commencement date of the Event then the Hirer will pay to UMC Ltd the fee of 50% of the Estimated Net Income; If the Event is cancelled more than one month but less than three months before the commencement date of the Event then the Hirer will pay to UMC Ltd the fee of 75% of the Estimated Net Income; Less than one month before the commencement date of the Event the Hirer shall pay to UMC Ltd the fee of 90% of the Estimated Net Income save that any deposits or pre-payments received will be off-set against these amounts; If the Hirer becomes aware that there will be a reduction in the minimum numbers agreed between the parties at the time the Contract was entered into then the Hirer must immediately notify the Hotel. The Hotel is under no obligation to reduce the Charges under the Contract due to the reduction in minimum numbers by the Hirer and reserves the right to charge the Hirer the full amount stated in the Contract based on the original minimum numbers agreed.
