About us

Like its predecessors in the Pacific Northwest, Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs is a throwback to the building's unassuming beginnings. Built as a Westward Ho Hotel in 1965, the property is intimate, fun and consistent with the desert aesthetic. One pool is open to the public as well as to hotel guests, creating a 60's swim club feel. While Ace hotels in New York, Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles have a high-energy, urban feel, Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs is more laid back and natural, with a folk-modern energy. Corresponding to the Ace brand, the rooms will be available for the budget traveler as well as those looking for a more deluxe experience. There isn't a place in Palm Springs that has the kind of aesthetic and value that Ace provides. Ace is inspired by the unique character of the desert landscape and the sensual quality of tranquility that you instantly feel when you arrive in Palm Springs.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is a living history museum dedicated to educating the public about the role Air Power played in preserving American liberties and way of life. The Museum preserves, exhibits, and flies aircraft from World War Two, Korea, and the Vietnam Wars. Most of the aircraft are in flyable condition. Many of our docents are veterans and are willing to share their experiences and sacrifices for the education of future generations. In addition to flyable and static aircraft, the Museum uses permanent and temporary exhibits, related artifacts, artwork, and library sources to perpetuate American History. Children 5 and under and all active military with ID (and their immediate families) receive free admission.

Salvation Mountain must be seen to be fully appreciated as those who have made the journey will attest. Its 50 foot height and 150 foot breadth is made totally of local adobe clay and donated paint and is truly unique in the United States and probably the world. From its Sea of Galilee at the bottom to the big red heart in the middle, to the cross at the very top, the reoccurring theme of "Love" is everywhere at Salvation Mountain.
