Bellver Castle is a Gothic-style castle on a hill 3 km to the west of the center of Palma on the Island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. It was built in the 14th century for King James II of Majorca, and is one of the few circular castles in Europe.

The Mercat d’Olivar is located at the historic city centre of Palma de Mallorca. Constructed in 1951, the bright building in the style of Mediterranean architecture is made up of two connected parts, which open up onto a square, much like two welcoming arms, that invite you to take a stroll and serve as a popular meeting point. After 47 years of bustling activity the Mercat de l’Olivar was restructured and transformed into a trading company. Traders are the merchants operating at the market. In 1998 the company obtained an administration license, which led to a thorough rearrangement that lasted until 2003. The fish, meat, fruit and vegetable guilds got reorganized and obtained their own areas, which are still interlinked, communicating the atmosphere of an airy and collaboratively well organised market hall.

Es Baluard is the museum of modern and contemporary art of Palma, Majorca, Spain. Founded on 30 January 2004, Es Baluard exhibits a collection of contemporary art, of Balearic artists or made by those related somehow to the Balearic Islands.

The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range forms the backbone of the north-west of Mallorca. It runs for around 90 km, with a maximum width of 15 km, over 20 municipalities, the largest of which are Calvià, Pollença and Escorca—, and covers 30% of the island’s territory and more than 1,000 km2.
