Fort San Cristóbal

Historical Landmark
Located on the eastern wall that encircles Old San Juan, Fort San Cristóbal was El Morro’s partner in the city’s defense - built as a bastion against land attacks. Completed in 1771, the fort rises 150 feet (45.72 m) into the air, covering 26 acres (10.52 ha) of land.
