About us

Cable Car Museum is ideally located in Wellington, New Zealand. The award-winning Cable Car Museum brings to life the story of Wellington's iconic cable cars. We provide a range of programmes for junior, middle and senior primary students. We also provide pre and post visit resources to complement school-based programmes. Two floors of open gallery space provide a unique venue with original cable cars and working winding room as a backdrop. This venue offers a capacity of 90 and audio and visual equipment plus theatre screening opportunities for up to 30.
