Playhouse Whitley Bay is a 'state of the art' £8.5m refurbished venue that is the flagship of a major regeneration project, breathing new life into this famous coastal resort. Having opened in September 2009, it boasts an elegant new glass foyer, front of house facilities, box office, and bar facilities; in addition, it also features a redesigned auditorium, new company room, and chorus rooms.
