Kerrowgair is the country home of John & Judy Heggart. It is a magnificent National Trust house, situated in historic Yass, 45 minutes from the nation’s capital, Canberra. It is set on 1.25 acres of tranquil gardens, with towering trees, rose gardens, ponds and gravel walks. Doves add an ambience of peace and contentment. The classically decorated sitting and dining rooms, with their warm open fires, are complimented by fine china, antiques and books. The bedrooms all feature ensuites and are exquisitely appointed. It gives a ‘special touch’ to romantic escapes, family gatherings, weddings, retreats or small conferences. And, of course, there is always a warm welcome for travellers.
