Getting Around Sofia

Find the best way to access the city from anywhere.

Sofia Airport

Sofia Airport is located only about 10 km from the city center. The ride into town is short, so you can be checking into your hotel or enjoying your first coffee in the center soon after landing.

The airport is directly connected to the city's metro system. The station at Terminal 2 offers a fast, affordable ride to the center that takes approx. 25 minutes, with trains running frequently throughout the day. City buses also link the airport with different parts of Sofia, and a night bus keeps the connection going after the metro closes, so late arrivals are covered. Taxis services are available at the terminals as well.

Inside, travelers will find shops, cafés, restaurants, car rental desks, and free Wi-Fi, making both arrivals and departures easy and comfortable. Compact terminals and short walking distances help keep the experience stress-free.
