Calgary Travel and Things to Do Guide
Calgary is investing more than one billion dollars into infrastructure for planners hosting their event here - between the $500M BMO Centre expansion on Stampede Park, the $550M event centre, upgrades to Stephen Avenue, the new Culture & Entertainment District and more - we have a lot to talk about! These upgrades, along with the capacity from the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre, position Calgary to become the largest meeting and convention destination in Western Canada by 2024.
There are plenty of Calgary meeting hotels and more than 15,000 hotel rooms, one third of which are located in the downtown core and three of which are attached to the Calgary TELUS Centre: the 384-room Calgary Marriott Hotel, 355-room Hyatt Regency Calgary and 405-room Fairmont Palliser Hotel.

Weather and Seasonality
Calgary's average winter temperature is -9°C. Summers are generally mild with an average temperature of 23°C, though highs sometimes reach a warm 30°C. Once of the sunniest cities in Canada, Calgary sees an average of 16.3 inches of precipitation annually.
