Visitors to Regina can travel through the Regina International Airport, which is located just eight minutes from downtown. Regina International Airport serves a number of Canadian, as well as international flights, providing easy access to and from the U.S. The airport offers daily direct service to Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, weekly service to Las Vegas, Phoenix and seasonal service to Mexico and the Caribbean.
Regina is home to Evraz Place, Canada's second-largest meeting and exhibition venue. Evraz Place comprises 102 acres, including more than one million square feet of indoor space and more than 307,000 square feet of contiguous meeting space. The facility plans and hosts thousands of events each year in such facilities as the 40,000-square-foot Agribition Building, 40,000-square-foot Ag-Ex Pavilion, 90,000-square-foot Credit Union EventPlex and the Queensbury Convention Centre, which houses the province's largest banquet hall, accommodating up to 2,000 people.
Many of Regina's famed museums and galleries, as well as its central park space, serve as the perfect unique venues for group gatherings and events. The city's RCMP Heritage Centre tells the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and welcomes groups to hold events in several of its spaces, including the 250-person Gallery Hall, which features floor-to-ceiling windows.
Regina's cityscape is built around the 2,300-acre Wascana Centre, a city park situated around Wascana Lake that's home to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Saskatchewan Science Centers and more. Wascana Centre itself offers a number of private event spaces, which include the 100-person Edna May Forbes Lady Slipper Courtyard and Theatre, the open-air Wascana Bandstand gazebo and even Willow Island, which can only be accessed via Wascana Ferry service. Regina event venues located in Wascana Centre include the MacKenzie Art Gallery, which measures in as the province's largest art gallery, spanning 100,000 square feet on three levels. MacKenzie Art Gallery houses a collection of more than 4,000 national and international works, as well as offers a number of private event spaces accommodating up to 200 guests. Also located in Wascana Centre, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum explores the province's natural and geological history, as well as offers private event space throughout its facility. Wascana Centre's Saskatchewan Science Centre is home to hands-on exhibits exploring scientific topics ranging from the trigonometry behind a hockey game to astronaut training. Saskatchewan Science Centre's 165-seat Kramer IMAX Theatre is just one of many spaces available for private rentals.
