Serving more than three million passengers per year, Las Americas International offers flights to destinations throughout the United States, Caribbean, Europe, and South America.
Airport amenities include duty free shops, a post office, bank and exchange facilities, restaurants, and free Wi-Fi throughout public areas.

The Santo Domingo Metro opened in 2008 with one line and by 2013 had two lines stretching 27 kilometers throughout the metro area (served by 30 stations), with an expansion of the second line completing in late 2014. The rapid transit is the most extensive metro system in the Caribbean and Central American region by length and number of stations, carrying about 140,000 passengers a day.

Avis, Hertz, Europcar, and Budget rental car agencies are represented at Las Americas International Airport. Agency counters are located throughout the terminal building.

All taxis in the Dominican Republic are fixed by destination and unmetered, so travelers should ask their taxi driver for the fare total before getting into the taxi. Travelers should expect to pay a minimum of RD$437 for travel within Santo Domingo, while the average rate from the Las Americas International Airport to Santo Domingo is around RD$1,749. Most people do not tip taxis, however you are welcome to if you feel so inclined.
