In the 19th century, the bustling and charismatic city of Liverpool was described as "the New York of Europe" because of the heroic design of its major buildings (many of which still grace the city, making it a truly memorable convention destination). Nowadays, the city is synonymous with a pop group named The Beatles. Venues in Liverpool that invoke The Beatles are numerous, as are the Magical Mystery Tour buses rolling through the streets.

Liverpool boasts excellent road and rail connections to the surrounding Manchester/Liverpool City Region and the rest of the United Kingdom. Travelers can fly into Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which sits just 30 minutes outside of the city center and offers bus and rail service into the city.

Liverpool's stunning Arena and Convention Center Liverpool has put the city on the map as an international conference destination. The center spans the BT Convention Center (complete with a 1,350-seat auditorium), the 11,000-person Echo Arena with VIP hospitality areas, and the Exhibition Center Liverpool along the banks of the River Mersey.
