Nice

The largest city on the famed Cote d'Azur along the Mediterranean Sea, Nice is a legendary vacation spot, as well as famed for the many artists who lived, drank, and painted here and on other spots in the area. Nice today retains its elegant, storied past, most notably in such establishments as the Hotel Negresco. The fifth-largest city in France, Nice is close to Monaco and Italy and has a decidedly unique feel to it.

The city has one of France's busiest airports, Nice Cote d'Azur Airport (NCE), which is four miles southeast of the city center and can be reached just as easily by public bus and direct tramway as it can by taxi. It has service from all over Europe, and direct flights between North America from Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York City, Washington DC, and Montreal.

Opened in 2025, the Nice Convention Center is conveniently located 10 minutes away by walk from the city centre and within close proximity to many hotels and restaurants. This iconic site has a total of 10,600 sqm of space, space for up to 2,500 people, and a stunning 1,400 sqm panoramic rooftop.

Nice offers a diverse array of unique venues that blend cultural richness with event functionality. The Palais Nikaia stands out as a striking, oval-shaped arena accommodating up to 2,300 attendees for conventions, 1,500 for receptions, and 770 for seated dinners. For open-air events, the Théâtre de Verdure in Jardin Albert I, just steps from the Promenade des Anglais, provides a scenic amphitheater with capacity for 3,200 guests. The historic Centre Universitaire Méditerranéen, also on the Promenade, is well-suited for conferences and lectures. Within the Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée, the Salon Riviera offers an elegant setting for up to 936 participants. Art lovers may opt for the Musée Matisse, located on the hill of Cimiez, or the Musée National Marc Chagall, which houses the artist’s celebrated biblical works and provides an intimate cultural setting for receptions. Another standout is the Château de Crémat, a hilltop wine estate with Art Deco architecture and sweeping views of the French Riviera, offering a sophisticated setting for private events and business receptions for up to 500 attendees. For an exceptionally grand backdrop, the Allianz Riviera Stadium can host up to 8,000 guests, making it ideal for large-scale programs or gala evenings. Just outside the city, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat offers a breathtaking venue with Belle Époque elegance, themed gardens, and sea views—perfect for high-end, unforgettable gatherings.

From traditional French bistros to upscale Mediterranean eateries, the city offers an enticing selection of group-friendly dining venues. Restaurant Safari, a local favorite for over 40 years, serves classic French cuisine near the lively Cours Saleya flower market. Boccaccio specializes in seafood and features an upstairs dining space ideal for al fresco group meals. L’Ane Rouge, located by the harbor, is known for its artfully presented dishes and also offers cooking classes for a more immersive experience. Near Place Masséna, La Taverne Masséna captures the spirit of a Parisian brasserie with its welcoming, bustling ambiance. For those seeking Italian flavors, Casa Leya combines modern and traditional dishes made with local ingredients in a stylish setting along Cours Saleya. Di Piu, set directly on the Promenade des Anglais, delights groups with sweeping sea views and refined Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.
