Getting Around Paris

Paris Airport

Paris is served by four airports with different roles: CDG (main international hub north of Paris), ORY (south of Paris with strong European/DOM-TOM links and new Metro Line 14 access),

LBG (business/general aviation and Paris Air Show venue), and BVA (budget carriers well outside the city). CDG has three terminal zones linked by the free CDGVAL people mover; ORY terminals are linked and connect directly by Orlyval or Metro 14; LBG is GA-only; BVA is ~70–85 km from Paris with low-cost carriers like Ryanair and Wizz. Flat-rate Paris taxi fares apply between the city and CDG/ORY, and RER and bus links run frequently to/from CDG and ORY.

CDG: Terminals linked by free CDGVAL (about every 4 minutes, roughly 4:00–1:00); RER B from central Paris to CDG with 10–20 min headways common.

ORY: Served by Orlyval to RER B at Antony and by Metro Line 14 since 2024; terminals interlinked with frequent people-mover/shuttle options.

LBG: Business/general aviation only; hosts the biennial Paris Air Show with temporary operational restrictions.

BVA: Budget airport about 70–85 km from Paris; primary carriers include Ryanair and Wizz Air.
