The station is located conveniently close to the convention center and financial district and has more than 25 platforms spread across five departure halls.

Frankfurt's RMV network integrates the region's bus system with the tram, commuter rail and metro system. Because of this, there is a common tariff structure for public transport throughout the region. The Nachtbus service runs every night between 1am and 4am. For destinations outside of the city, the Nachtbus service runs only on Friday and Saturday nights and holiday eves.
