Known to be Germany's largest airport, Frankfurt Airport (FRA) provides scheduled services to roughly 300 destinations in 107 countries around the world. More than 1,300 flights arrive and depart from the airport every day. Due to its location in the middle of Western Europe and its excellent links to all transportation modes, Frankfurt Airport can be reached from all major European economic centers in just a few hours. The airport handles more than 60 million passengers annually and acts as the main hub for Lufthansa.

The airport has 78 restaurants and cafés, and a large selection of shops for passengers to browse through.

Frankfurt Airport is directly linked to more than 170 high-speed trains, around 220 regional trains, and over 240 public transport buses. German rail network Deutsche Bahn also provides a Rail & Fly Service that offers travel from about 5,600 railway stations in Germany to Frankfurt Airport for a relatively low price.

First-time visitors beware! Don't confuse Frankfurt Airport with the misleadingly named Frankfurt Hahn Airport (HHN; Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn), which is situated around 120 km from Frankfurt.

Car/Taxis
Frankfurt is easy to reach from all directions by road. Central taxi ranks are present throughout the city, including at Kaiserstraße, Schweizer Platz, and Bockenheimer Warte, as well as at the main train station and airport. An unconventional way of exploring the Main metropolis is offered by bicycle taxis. These city cruisers are an environmentally friendly transport alternative.
Hotel Shuttle Services
Most hotels around Frankfurt Airport provide their own direct transfer services to and from the airport. All shuttle buses stop in a specially reserved area at the airport. Train
Frankfurt is connected to numerous national and international destinations by more than 1,100 trains. Visitors can take one of around 700 S-Bahn commuter trains to go anywhere in Frankfurt and the surrounding Rhine-Main region.
The Frankfurt Main Train Station happens to be the city's busiest railway station, with more than 350,000 travelers from home and abroad passing through it every day. The station is located conveniently close to the convention center and financial district and has more than 25 platforms spread across five departure halls.

Bus
Frankfurt's RMV network integrates the region's bus system with the tram, commuter rail and metro system. Because of this, there is a common tariff structure for public transport throughout the region. The Nachtbus service runs every night between 1am and 4am. For destinations outside of the city, the Nachtbus service runs only on Friday and Saturday nights and holiday eves.
