Capital of the German state of Lower Saxony, Hannover is a city of half a million residents best known for hosting huge trade fairs and for Hannover MICE venues that boast spectacular Oktoberfests. The city's main airport is the Hannover Airport, which is 20 minutes north of the city center and the ninth largest airport in Germany, featuring direct and connecting flights to major European cities and beyond.
