The current Kolkata Metro network consists of a 27-kilometer long track from Noapara to Kavi Subhash. The expansion plan of the network includes five other lines, which also has two lines connecting the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport with the city center. One of the airport lines is expected to open for public in 2020. Both the lines will converge at the airport and form an underground station.
Buses
West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation operates air-conditioned bus service between the airport and various popular places to visit in Kolkata. The buses are available at regular intervals and at very reasonable charges. The nearest bus stop from the airport is about a 15-min walk away. The bus service starts at 0800 hrs and the last bus departs from the airport at 2130 hrs.
