Also known as Itami Airport, the Osaka International Airport serves as the primary domestic airport for Japan's Kansai region. Set about 15 minutes northwest of central Osaka, the airport features a variety of shopping and dining outlets, as well as access to public rail and bus service.
Kansai International Airport (KIX)
Set on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay about 45 minutes southwest of Osaka, the two-terminal Kansai International Airport serves as a major transport hub for the area, providing direct service to 74 cities in 24 countries. Airport amenities include a range of shopping and dining options, as well as direct access to public rail and bus service. The airport sits about 30 minutes from Osaka by train.

Rail/Subway
Osaka's Shin-Osaka Station serves as the entrance to the city; from the station, passengers can transfer to the JR Kyobashi Line or Midosuji subway line to central parts of the city. There are a number of trains that serve the city, including the subway lines that run throughout all of Osaka, as well as the JR Osaka Loop Line, which runs around the city’s central districts. Fare is determined by zone traveled.
Boat
Travelers can travel the area via water taxi, particularly those to and from the Osaka International Ferry Terminal, as well as regular ferry service between Osaka and Busan.

Rental car companies represented at both Osaka International Airport and Kansai International Airport include Nippon, Nissan, Toyota, Orix, and Times.

Passengers should expect to pay approximately 6000 yen in taxi fare from Osaka International Airport to central Osaka and 15,500 yen from Kansai International Airport to central Osaka.
