Monterrey's International Airport is the principal transit hub of Northern Mexico and is located 30 minutes from the downtown area. It serves 6.5 million travelers annually. Monterrey International Airport offers connections to 31 national destinations, 10 U.S. destination and two European destinations, as well as flights to Cuba.
The airport has three terminals, and operates almost 300 daily flights, making it Mexico's fourth most important airport in terms of operations per year and passengers served. Terminal B, considered the country's second most modern air facility, was inaugurated in September of 2010; it houses the Sky Team operations and serves up to two million passengers a year, and allows the airport to expand its services with other airlines.
Executive lounges are available for business travelers and several major hotels with business facilities are located only minutes away from the airport. The airport provides a Skybus Express bus service that runs between Monterrey and the airport between 6 AM and 11 PM daily, as well as taxi services to and from the hotels.

The Metrorrey is Monterrey's subway system, with 31 stations and 2 lines. It runs services between 5:00 AM and midnight and is handicap accessible. 1 ticket costs $4.50 MXN (about 40 cents USD).

Taxis are a cheap and efficient way to get around Monterrey. Fares generally start around $7.45 MXN plus $5.40 MXN per kilometer. Authorized taxis are generally painted green with a white roof and a "taxi" logo; they have an ID number on the side-door and a visible driver ID.
