Taxis
Council licensed black cabs can be hailed in the street or picked up from one of the taxi ranks within the city center. Most taxis can carry up to five passengers and are accessible for wheelchairs, although it is worth noting that for medical reasons, some taxi drivers are exempt from carrying wheelchair users. Such drivers will have a wheelchair exemption certificate clearly displayed within the taxi.

Train
Edinburgh's two major railway stations, Waverley and Haymarket, located at the east and west end of Princes Street, and within walking distance of many of the city's hotels and conference venues. Both operate regular services to other parts of Scotland and the UK on a regular basis, with a high-speed link that reaches London in just over four hours. The East Coast Main Line provides a link between Edinburgh and London, via Newcastle, York, Leeds, and Aberdeen. Virgin Trains East Coast also operates a service to London via Durham, York, and Peterborough. ScotRail's Caledonian Sleeper is a popular overnight service operating between Edinburgh and London (Euston) every night.
Tram
Edinburgh's modern tram service provides the quickest journey between Edinburgh Airport and the city center at the east end. The tram stops at key transport links, conference and event venues, business districts and shopping areas. The environment-friendly, wheelchair-accessible tram service provides a smooth, fast ride for travelers.
Bus
Edinburgh's award-winning public bus service, Lothian Buses, operates a frequent timetable in and around the city with a large fleet of modern, easily accessible vehicles. A variety of ticket types are available for travelers and an exact-fare system is in operation. Travelers can purchase a city smart card which can be topped-up on the go or download the Transport for Edinburgh app for mobile ticketing. The city's CVB, Convention Edinburgh, has tied up with Lothian Buses to offer negotiated reduced fares for delegates traveling on the Airlink bus service between Edinburgh Airport and the city center and on the city sightseeing bus tours.
