Glasgow Airport (GLA)
Located 13 kilometers southwest of the city, Glasgow Airport is Scotland's second busiest international airport. It currently handles around 10 million passengers a year and offers flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide, including several direct services from the United States.
The airport consists of one main terminal as well as an additional check-in facility at T2 that serves around 30 airlines.
Bus service via Arriva Glasgow Flyer and First's 747 AirLink operates between the airport and downtown Glasgow. Buses also travel to Paisley Glimour Street, the nearest rail station to the airport. Parking is available for short- and long-term stays.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK)
Glasgow Prestwick Airport serves mainly low-cost airline Ryanair, traveling to several European holiday destinations such as Barcelona, Ibiza, Pisa, and Malta. The airport offers the benefits hassle free check-in, low-cost car parking, great flight times, and its own railway station, making it the only airport with a direct rail link.
Other amenities at Prestwick include several duty-free shops and a selection of eateries, Internet kiosks and a currency exchange. In addition to direct rail service, airport guests can opt for morning or evening bus service or take advantage of one of several parking areas.

Glasgow Train information
Glasgow is well connected by train from across the UK. The city has two railway stations: Glasgow Central Station links to all UK cities, while Glasgow Queen Street Station operates routes mainly to Central and Northern Scotland. More than 20 direct trains run from London to the city daily, while direct trains from Edinburgh run every 15 mins on weekdays. The city's subway system is also an easy way to get around the city center and west end of Glasgow. The subway runs every 5 minutes at peak times and complete a circuit of all 15 stations in just 24 minutes. The SPT "Roundabout" ticket gives one-day unlimited travel by rail and Subway to over 110 stations in the Greater Glasgow area. These tickets can be purchased through ScotRail or SPT Travel Centres.

All major car rental companies, including Avis, Europcar, Enterprise, and Hertz, have depots at Glasgow International Airport or elsewhere on the outskirts of the city. Alamo, Avis, Europcar, Hertz, and National serve Glasgow Prestwick International in the main arrivals hall adjacent to the domestic baggage area.

Glasgow taxi drivers are known for being very friendly and chatty, offering quick, reliable service and advice on local attractions. Visitors to Glasgow can either hail a taxi in the street, pick one up at a dedicated taxi stand, or phone a recognized taxi company, such as Glasgow Taxis Ltd. Visitors should only use vehicles that are licensed by Glasgow City Council, with driver identification and tariffs clearly displayed inside the cab. Taxi ranks can also be found in front of the terminal building at Glasgow Airport.
