Santa Clarita
Santa Clarita is the third largest city in Los Angeles County, but in many ways, it's a city aloft, nestled in the Santa Susana Mountains and surrounded by serene countryside. As the city still has room to grow with new venues and hotels, restaurants and attractions pop up all the time. Don’t miss out on this southern California gem.
Santa Clarita has forest and mountains to the north and east and Burbank to the south, where Bob Hope Airport lies just 17 miles away. In addition to itsh direct flights to Denver and New York City's John F. Kennedy, the airport also has a direct train link (the only airport in the whole Los Angeles Metropolitan area to do so) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), approximately 40 miles to the south of Santa Clarita.
The area's plentiful outdoor recreation opportunities drive visitors to this destination. Ease of access, weekly special events, and variety of venues are perfect for hosting those guests who love the LA vibe without the LA prices. Santa Clarita offers more than 1,400 guest rooms and over 40,000 square feet of meeting space. Superior facilities, consistent warm weather, and a variety of attractions are just a few reasons why Santa Clarita should be on your list. Hike to the peak of Towsley Canyon and take in the captivating views, explore numerous nearby Los Angeles landmarks, or take in the cool restaurants, shops, and more that Santa Clarita has to offer.
Hotel venues include the 244-room Hyatt Regency Valencia & Santa Clarita Conference Center, which has 16,000 square feet of meeting and function space and a ballroom that can seat up to 600 guests. The 156-room Embassy Suites Valencia also offers extensive meeting spac,e while the 152-room Hilton Garden Inn Valencia, 118-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, and 140-room Courtyard by Marriott are available for accommodations and smaller meet ups.
The Valencia Country Club offers up lush greens and function space for up to 300 people in a ballroom or on a perfectly manicured lawn or the TPC Valencia and Robinson Ranch golf courses. The venue with the most thrilling capacity is Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park, which offers group bookings to the park itself, as well as a private lawn for picnics and the ability to host up to 20,000 people. Kelly's Wedding Garden & Banquet Hall does specialize in weddings, but its banquet hall and 2.5-acre garden are also ideal for corporate events. The City itself has a great alternative for a meeting venue in The Centre. Another hot spot is French restaurant Le Chene, which has oodles of lawn and garden to frolic in (there is a lot more open land here than in many parts of LA).
A wide range of alternative spaces for unique events are available throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, so let’s get creative. From a historic mansion to different wineries, wine lounges, lush picnic areas, or elegant restaurants, the city provides several options for your attendees. Open with a wine tasting with the wine maker themselves, host an ice cream social in a nostalgic ice cream parlour, play laser tag for some group bonding, or bring back fond childhood memories with a good ol’ fashioned picnic.
There are a variety of excellent dining venues in Santa Clarita: Salt Creek Grille serves up classic American fare for groups of up to 80 people. Buca Di Beppo thrives on group business and large family-style meals are their specialty! Valencia Wine Company has live music and wines that pair with appetizers. Plus, one of the best Italian restaurants (as decided by voters on OpenTable.com) sits on the east side of Santa Clarita, called Piccola Trattoria.
