The VISTA inter-city bus system connects the cities of Ventura County, as well as with the neighboring Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties. VISTA runs nine daily routes, three of which serving Ventura. One-way fare is $1.25 per passenger; children under 5 years old ride free. A monthly pass is $50 per passenger.
Gold Coast Transit
The Gold Coast Transit fixed route bus system runs daily along 18 routes serving Ojai, Oxnard, Port Heuneme, and Ventura. One-way fare is $1.50 per passenger; children under 45 inches tall ride free. A day pass is $4 per passenger, 15-ride pass $20, and 31-day pass $50.
Ventura Downtown-Harbor Trolley
The free Ventura Downtown-Harbor Trolley stops at a number of Ventura hotels, Ventura Harbor Village, the Ventura Amtrak station, Ventura County Fairgrounds and Ventura Visitors Center among other locations. The trolley runs Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 11 pm, arriving approximately every 45 minutes to an hour.

Ventura's Amtrak station is located at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Figueroa Street, and as it is a platform with shelter, has no station operating hours. Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner, which makes 12 daily round trips from San Luis Obispo to San Diego, stops at the Ventura station. From the station, passengers can hop aboard the Ventura Downtown-Harbor Trolley, which operates at the station from Wednesday through Sunday.

Both Burbank Bob Hope Airport and Santa Barbara Airport feature rental car counters for Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. About 40 rental car companies operate out of Los Angeles International, 10 of which can pick up and drop off customers directly from the terminals using courtesy shuttles.
