A suburb of Miami, Miami Lakes started as a massive, master-planned town in the early 1960s. It's an early example of the New Urbanism land design movement highlighted by accessible shopping, narrow, walkable streets and neighborhood parks. Miami Lakes event venues are mostly located in some of the area's signature resorts.
