Eagan is located just 15-minutes from both Minneapolis and St. Paul, The community is also less than 10 minutes from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) as well as the world famous Mall of America. Eagan is home to some of the metro area's most popular attractions, including Cascade Bay, Minnesota's largest outdoor municipal water park and the 2,000-acre Lebanon Hills Regional Park.

Eagan offers 19 hotel choices including the newly opened (10/1/2020) Omni Viking Lakes hotel. This 4-star hotel offers 320 rooms and 35,000SF of meeting space. The hotel is a part of Viking Lakes, a mixed-use development connected to TCO Performance Center, the headquarters of the Minnesota Vikings.
Other hotels in Eagan include the 187-room Holiday Inn, which can host a meeting for up to 125 people; the 108-room Best Western Plus Dakota Ridge, which can accommodate a meeting of up to 130; and the 99-room Hilton Garden Inn, with space for meetings of up to 90. Dining options in Eagan range from family-friendly restaurants and ethnic choices to a large selection of steak houses and supper clubs. Several eateries cater to groups. Jensen's Food and Cocktails, a local favorite place to celebrate special occasions, can host private groups of up to 100 people; Casper's Cherokee of Eagan, known locally as The Sports Barn, is a steak house in a huge red barn that features a casual loft area seating 50 people that has two 13' x 10' television screens; and the Lone Oak Grill, famous for its house-smoked ribeye steak and customizable mac and cheese (add anything from roasted tomato to smoked chicken), can handle a private dinner for up to 53.
Kyndred Hearth, located inside of the Omni Viking Lakes hotel, is run by Chef Ann Kim, a James J Beard winner. The restaurant is focused on quality ingredients, simplicity and execution. Be sure to try a wood-fired pizza!

Eagan is home to many community events including FunFest (taking place over the 4th of July), MarketFest (a weekly outdoor farmer's market held every Wednesday from May-October), and the Eagan Art Festival which draws juried artists from around the region and is held the last weekend in June.
