Situated just eight miles outside of downtown Saint Paul, the Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport serves as a hub for Delta Air Lines and operates an average of 1,250 daily flights. The two-terminal airport serves 114 domestic and 21 international nonstop markets and saw more than 38 million passengers in 2018, making it the 17th busiest airport in North America. Passengers can ride the airport’s light rail service between terminals, as well as access public light rail and bus service at the airport. Minneapolis/Saint Paul International is home to a variety of shops and restaurants.

Metro TransitMetro Transit serves the Twin Cities region by operating an integrated network of buses, light rail and commuter trains. Saint Paul is served by Metro Transit's bus system, which totals 123 routes and a fleet of 885 buses. Metro Transit's Hiawatha light rail line stops at 19 stations between downtown Minnesota and the Mall of America, while the Northstar commuter line runs between Big Lake and Minneapolis, with stations in Elk River, Anoka, Coon Rapids and Fridley. Metro Transit provides service at the Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport. Passengers can directly access the Saint Paul RiverCentre via bus. Bus base fare is $1.75 for adults and $0.75 for children ages 6 to 12; rush hour fare is $2.25 for all passengers. Passengers can ride throughout the Saint Paul Downtown Zone for $0.50. Children under age 6 ride free.
AmtrakThe Saint Paul Amtrak station is located at 730 Transfer Road; station hours are 6 AM to 11:45 PM daily. The station serves the Empire Builder route, which runs daily between Chicago and Portland/Seattle, with major stops in Saint Paul, Milwaukee and Spokane.
GreyhoundThe Saint Paul Greyhound station is located at 730 Transfer Road; station hours are 6 AM to 11 PM daily.
