John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH)
Columbus is within 550 miles, just a one-hour flight, from nearly half of the U.S. population. More than 150 flights depart John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) daily to 40 destinations nonstop. In 2017, the newly renovated CMH served 7.5 million passengers.
The airport is just 8 miles (about 10 minutes) from downtown. Taxis and ride-sharing services are available at the airport, as well as the AirConnect express circulator that stops at the convention center and downtown hotels.
In March 2016, completion of a three-year, $80 million terminal renovation and modernization program positioned John Glenn International for future passenger growth, allowing the airport to maximize operations within the existing footprint of the airport property. This led the Airports Council International to name it the most improved airport in North America for 2016, based on a survey administered to airport visitors over the year.
The project incorporated a major face-lift for the ticket lobby, baggage claim, and all concourses, as well as extensive mechanical, technological, and security upgrades. The upgraded terminal provides a contemporary, comfortable, and convenient facility that delivers a positive passenger experience. Extensive terminal-wide renovations included adding local restaurants, unveiling one of the nation's fastest airport Wi-Fi systems, enhancing natural lighting, expanding comfortable seating options, and upgrading restrooms. The program also allowed the opportunity to incorporate more art displays and visual elements in the terminal.

Buses
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) operates bus service in Columbus. AirConnect, an express bus service, runs between John Glenn Columbus International Airport, the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC), and downtown hotels. The connector stops at baggage claim every 30 minutes and costs $2.75 each way. Tickets can be purchased at a kiosk with credit cards (only) or onboard with cash (only).
The CBUS is a free downtown circulator that runs every 10-15 minutes from the Short North Arts District in the north to the Brewery District/German Village in the south, with stops at many popular downtown locations along the way. For as little as $4.50 a day, hop on COTA's other routes to explore more of the city and beyond.
Shuttle Service
More than 30 charter bus, limousine, and shuttle companies can accommodate prearranged transportation needs for individuals or groups from the airport to any point in the city.
Rental Cars
The following auto rental agencies have check-in counters on the ground floor of an onsite, attached garage at John Glenn International: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.
Car Services
Traditional taxi service provided by Yellow Cab of Columbus or Orange Cab of Columbus, as well as ride-hailing services Lyft and Uber, are available at the airport 24 hours a day. Average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is about $25, and the average UberX fare is $14.

Pedal yourself around the city by renting a bike at one of CoGo Bike Share's more than 30 stations throughout downtown for just $8 a day. Or hire someone to do the pedaling for you with E.C.T. Pedicab, which operates almost every night for just $1.50 a minute.
