Greensboro Airport information
The Piedmont Triad International Airport sees nearly two million passengers per year as they travel on one of roughly 31 daily departures to locations throughout the United States. Located just a few miles west of downtown Greensboro, the airport's current facility first opened in 1982 and has since undergone many renovations and expansions. Today, it consists of one two-level, 296,000-square-foot terminal offering a total of 25 passenger gates. Piedmont Triad International is currently constructing a third runway, scheduled for fall 2009 completion.

Greensboro Amtrak StationThe Greensboro Amtrak station serves the Carolinian/Piedmont route, which provides daily service between Charlotte and New York City, with major stops in Raleigh, Richmond, Washington, DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia. It also serves the Crescent route, which offers daily service between New Orleans and New York City. The station is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) Bus LinePart of the Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA), Greensboro's public bus system operates within the 131 square miles defined as Greensboro's city limits. GTA's 42-bus fleet runs 15 daily routes and seven evening/Sunday routes, carrying more than three million passengers every year. The Joseph S. Koury Convention Center is a stop on the daytime Route 2 - Four Seasons route.GTA daily routes run Monday through Friday from 5:15 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 6 AM to 7 PM and Sunday from 6 AM to 6 PM. GTA evening routes run Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 PM and Saturday from 7 to 10 PM. One-way fares are $0.80 for children ages 6-18 and $1.20 for adults. One-day unlimited passes are $3.25 per passenger, while an 11-ride pass is $5.50 for children and $11 for adults.
