Rutherford, NJ, is a charming town across the Hudson River and in the shadow of New York City. Here, Victorian houses line grand tree-draped streets. Nearby, East Rutherford event venues comprise a veritable campus for large-scale meetings.
Rutherford is easily accessible with Newark Liberty International approximately 13 miles away, LaGuardia Airport about 22 miles away, and Kennedy 27 miles away. It is also a short car, bus or train ride away from Manhattan; Station Square is Rutherford's hub for all modes of transportation.
Its neighboring town, East Rutherford, is home to the 82,500-seat, $1.6-billion MetLife Stadium, host of the 2014 Super Bowl. While shopping galore, culture and the arts abound in the Rutherford area, there is also nature: The Meadowlands Environmental Center, in nearby Lyndhurst, offers groups a two-hour pontoon boat tour on the Hackensack River and some of its tributaries. The area is home to more than 260 species of birds.
