Meeting delegates can fly into Woodward via the city's general aviation airport, West Woodward Airport, which is located six miles outside of the central business district. Delegates can also fly into Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, which is the nearest major airport to Woodward. Will Rogers World Airport serves more than three million passengers each year, offering nonstop service to such major markets are Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC. Once in Woodward, delegates can ride Red River Transportation buses, which run throughout local several counties along regular and on-demand routes.
Opened in 2012, the state-of-the-art Woodward Conference Center serves as the city's major meeting venue. A hub for multi-purpose conferences, Woodward Conference Center features audio-visual services and a catering kitchen and sits across the street from the scenic Experiment Lake and park.
For smaller group functions and events, look no further than Woodward's recreation and cultural venues. One of the state's premier performing arts centers, Woodward Arts Theatre and Josie Adams Cultural Centre host community plays, art camps and special performances, as well as conventions and corporate meetings in such spaces as a 500-seat, restored 1920s vintage theater. For a group function on the links, the public 18-hole Boiling Springs Golf Course houses an outdoor pavilion, as well as a clubhouse and pro shop.
A modern and beloved city landmark, Crystal Beach Park is a former watering hole for cattle drives turned community gathering place, following a $25-million renovation. Home of the Woodward County Fairgrounds, Crystal Beach Park features the nine-hole Woodward Municipal Golf Course and a spring-fed, fish-stocked lake, as well as picnic areas and pavilions available for group events. Crystal Beach Park also houses the multi-million-dollar baseball complex Fuller Park, complete with club seats; and Crystal Beach Arena, which hosts motocross exhibitions and concerts, as well as attracting 20,000 to 30,000 fans each July to the annual Elks Rodeo.
