Fredericksburg

Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg was founded by German settlers in 1846 and consistently ranks as one of the top small towns in Texas.

The town offers great attractions, including museums, a walkable historic district, the nation's largest wildflower farm, over 50 wineries and tasting rooms, nightly live music, and award-winning shopping.

Fredericksburg features several quality conference hotels that are located within walking distance of the historic Main Street and are ideal for small to midsized meetings (from 10 to 200).
The town is also home to nearly 1,500 bed and breakfasts, guesthouses, guest ranches and inns, as well as over 20 hotels and motels. It has over 100 restaurants and bakeries and more than 150 shops.

Fredericksburg offers four conference hotels for meeting planners. Chief among convention venues is the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites, a conference hotel encompassing the largest conference space in the city at 3,700 square feet. The hotel is situated one block off Main Street on five beautiful acres along Barons Creek. It has 10 suites, 103 sleeping rooms, and offers two resort-style pools, an outdoor fireplace, picnic areas, and complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. The venue includes two facilities – the Barons Creek Conference Center and the Cypress Room – covering an area of 2,360 square feet and 1,364 square feet respectively. Another hotel situated just a few blocks away is the Hampton Inn & Suites, the second largest convention venue in the city. The venue offers meeting rooms spread across 2,000 square feet, a boardroom covering 454 square feet, 54 sleeping rooms, and 10 suites.

For groups in need of a less traditional area, Fredericksburg also has three bed and breakfasts with dedicated meeting space, as well as around twenty unique event venues. Pat's Hall, a historic event center that opened in 1928, can host both small parties and large groups of approximately 1,200. Gillespie County Fairgrounds & Exhibition Hall, Gillespie County Farm Bureau Center, and Gillespie County Historical Society are excellent venues for professional meetings and presentations, offering meeting spaces ranging in size from 6,000 to 14,000 square feet. Fredericksburg Brewing Company's 4,000 square feet enclosed space with seating for 150 and 12 suites above a historic, award-winning brewery is also an exciting place to host events.

Take team building to another level at Messina Hof Hill Country, a 10-acre estate just east of Fredericksburg that offers tastings of 50 of their award-winning wines. Their VIP Room has 1,100 square feet of private space. The venue also offers outdoor patio space and the entire facility is also available for renting. Meeting guests can rejuvenate after a long day at one of the theatres or at one of the thirty vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms in and around Fredericksburg. Visitors can also take a walk to well over a dozen art galleries or soak up the serene views of the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area.

The town is centrally located, just an hour west of the state capital Austin, an hour northwest of San Antonio and just four hours from both the Houston and DFW metroplexes and the Midland/Odessa area.
