George R. Brown Convention Center
Opened in 1987 and renovated in 2003, the George R. Brown Convention Center (GRBCC) is home to 1.2 million usable square feet, and ranks among the 10 largest convention centers in the nation. Convention-goers in Houston will appreciate the excitement and convenience afforded by the George R. Brown's downtown location. The GRB is flanked by the Toyota Center, home of the Rockets, to the south and Minute Maid Park, home of the Astros, to the north. Connected via two skybridges is the 1,200 room Hilton-Americas and coming in 2017 and also connecting via skybridge is the 1,000 room Marriot Marquis.

In addition to a variety of wireless services, this Houston meeting facility offers nearly 1.85 million square feet of exhibition, meeting, and registration space. The Convention Center's 6,000-seat Arena features telescopic seating, which allows for the accommodation of very large events. The GRBCC also houses 7 exhibit halls comprised of 862,000 square feet of exhibit space; the newly upgraded, 31,500 square foot George Bush Grand Ballroom; a 3,600-seat theatre hall; and a festive outdoor reception space composed of 4 balconies and nearly 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

Providing 7.5 miles of express lightrail transit along Houston's busiest corridor, the MetroRAIL connects the GRBCC to Reliant Park, the Texas Medical Center, the Museum District and more. The city's flourishing Theater District is also located within a nearby radius of the GRBCC.
