Just outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, the city of Lewisville is best known for its 29,000-acre lake. While many outdoor adventures center on that sizable slice of water (from lakeshore golf to fishing for bass or spending the afternoon cruising the lake on a jet ski), the city also has an historic heart, found along Main Street in Old Town Lewisville. Event venues mix with shops and restaurants, which are housed in buildings dating back to the 1880s; there is even a local spot once frequented by members of the Bonnie and Clyde gang.

Lewisville is a 15-minute drive from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, which is served by all major airlines, offering more than 2,000 domestic and international flights daily. Transportation from DFW Airport to Lewisville includes on-demand ride options and rental cars.

Lewisville Convention Center is part of the 165-room Hilton Garden Inn, featuring 17,000 square feet of divisible meeting and banquet space to accommodate up to 840 people. There is on-site catering, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and free business center. The facility is non-smoking, as is the entire city of Lewisville. Within walking distance of the convention center are another nine hotels, Music City Mall and over 20 restaurants and bars. Another city facility used for meetings is the Lewisville Grand performing arts center. The facility includes a 300-seat performance hall, an outdoor courtyard that can host 1,500 for a reception, a multi-purpose room, a black box theater, classrooms and an art gallery.

Along with the Hilton Garden Inn, other hotel venues in Lewisville where meetings are typically staged include the La Quinta by Wyndham with 129 rooms and 1,750 square feet of meeting space. Spring Hill Suites by Marriott has 1,839 square feet of meeting space with 119 rooms, Courtyard by Marriott has 1,400 square feet of meeting space and 122 rooms, and the 105-room Hampton Suites by Hilton has 1,000 square feet of function space. For smaller meetings, choose the 96-room Homewood Suites by Hilton, the 71-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott, the 64-room Best Western Plus, each offering 750 square feet of meeting space.

Lewisville has a number of interesting venues for special events. Sneaky Pete's on Lewisville Lake, which can host up to 500 people, includes multiple swimming pools, a lakeside gazebo bar, water and sand volleyball courts, horseshoes and billiards. Party boats for private groups are available for rent at several lake marinas. For an authentic ranch experience, Circle R Ranch features three event venues spread across 100 acres, with trail ride areas, swimming pools, sports and recreation fields, team-building facilities and a professional rodeo arena. Main Event Entertainment, which features bowling, billiards, video games, laser tag and glow golf, can host groups of up to 800 people. The Dallas Gun Club in Lewisville is available to host private parties with a wide variety of shooting courses in a country club atmosphere.

After operating for 124 years as the Lewisville Feed Mill, this historic gem has been transformed into Prairie House Restaurant and faithfully preserves its past through imaginative style and décor. Main Street Café began life as the home of Dr. J.W. Kennedy, who is said to have been regularly kidnapped to tend to members of the Bonnie and Clyde gang at their Lewisville Lake hideout in the 1930s. Now it is a notorious hangout for home-cooked classics.
