With a population of 38,212 people, Sherman, Texas, is small in size but big on charm. Having hosted outlaws such as Jesse James and William Quantrill during its frontier days, Sherman earned the nickname of "Helldorado on the Cross Timbers." These days, the city is certainly tamer, but no less exciting thanks to new retail shops, restaurants and opportunities for arts and theater (some of which double as Sherman event venues). Sherman is located at the crossroads of US Highways 75 and 82, just 65 miles north of the rapidly expanding Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
