Provo
The Cvent Provo meeting planning guide is a comprehensive city guide for Provo meeting planning professionals. It's not easy to find year-round outdoor attractions, culture and modern amenities – all at an affordable price – but meeting venues in Provo and the surrounding Utah Valley have them all. A central location places them within half a day's drive to 15 national parks, monuments and recreation areas – the largest concentration of such attractions in any state south of Alaska.

The city is served by the Provo Airport, where Allegiant Airlines offers daily connections to Phoenix / Mesa. Provo is also just 35 miles south of Salt Lake City International Airport, the second-largest hub for Delta Airlines and a nonstop connection from over 90 cities.
The new, state-of-the-art, LEED Silver Certified Utah Valley Convention Center offers over 83,500 square feet of space, including the 19,620-square-foot exhibit hall, the 16,894-square-foot ballroom and approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting space. It also features more than 5,500 square feet of rooftop garden space, perfect for enjoying the picturesque Provo scenery.

Current meeting and hotel venues in Provo include the 330-room Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, which has just over 29,500 square feet of function space spread across 21 rooms. About 15 miles outside Provo, Robert Redford's Sundance Resort is a four-season property complete with 95 guest cottages and over 12,000 square feet of meeting space. Here, four venues – the conference center, rehearsal hall, Elk Meadows and Bearclaw Cabin – provide serene options for groups to enjoy meetings, retreats, barbecues and team building activities. (Several other Provo hotel properties offer meeting space, including the Courtyard Provo by Marriott, Fairfield Inn Provo, Hampton Inn and Best Western Plus Provo River Inn.)

From universities to art galleries, there are plenty of alternative meeting venues in Provo to match the needs and tastes of any group. The Brigham Young University Conference Center has 30 clean, comfortable meeting rooms, the largest of which is just over 4,400 square feet, available for educational programs. In addition to offering a regular rotation of plays, dance performances and concerts, the Covey Center for the Arts has several facilities available for rent. In nearby Lehi lies Thanksgiving Point, which has seven distinctive event venues, including 55 acres of themed gardens and the technology-equipped, 10,626-square-foot Show Barn. Elsewhere in the surrounding Utah Valley, unique venues such as the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University, Springville Museum of Art and Noah's and Alpine Arts Center contribute additional meeting space.

Whether planning team building activities, spouse events or after-work excursions, the Utah Valley is a year-round outdoor paradise for groups. Go river rafting on the Provo River with High Country Tours, or enjoy 450 acres of pristine skiing terrain at Sundance Resort. The Herber Valley Railroad offers scenic tours through Provo Canyon, including group charter options and private coach rentals. The Utah Valley also has 11 golf courses, two baseball fields with stadiums, six rodeo grounds and more.
