Conveniently located less than two miles outside of downtown Cheyenne, the facility offers convention and private event rentals from August through June. Gathering spaces include six grandstands with a seating capacity of 19,000, as well as a 30,000-square-foot exhibition hall, which is available in June, August and September. A second meeting and event venue option, the city-owned Cheyenne Civic Center is located in the heart of downtown Cheyenne. Established in 1981, the 1,496-seat auditorium is home to the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra and showcases a variety of comedy, music, dance and theatre performances.
Additional Cheyenne unique event spaces include the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, located on the grounds of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Arena & Exhibit Hall. The museum features year-round programming, exhibits and activities that celebrate the pioneer spirit, including one of the country's largest collections of historic horse-drawn carriages and wagons, as well as Western art exhibits, a Rodeo Hall of Fame and interactive children's center, all in an authentic Western setting. The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum also offers private event rentals for up to 100 guests.
For a unique group gathering draped in grandeur, visitors frequent the newly-renovated Cheyenne Union Pacific Depot, a landmark Richardsonian Romanesque structure with a massive stone exterior and clock tower. The Depot tells the story of the establishment of Cheyenne during the construction of the transcontinental railroad. The depot features a spectacular Art Deco lobby – often used for private events – as well a map of the transcontinental railroad built in granite and other stone.
