The Shelborne Wyndham Grand is a historic Art Deco masterpiece restored to its original opulent splendor after a multi-million dollar renovation. Our 200-room property, including 18 suites with a Penthouse and Townhouses, is an oceanfront destination and offers an expertly curated portfolio of leisure and entertainment options. It was transformed in 2011 with a $1.2 million landscape renovation designed by South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. The new landscape showcases native Florida plants and trees including bromeliads, palms, cycads, orchids and many others. There is a Japanese garden, native garden and bio-swale, and water gardens including ponds, fountains, and a wetland with mangrove and pond apple trees. Originally called the Miami Beach Auditorium, the Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater is a theater which in the 1960s was renamed for Jackie Gleason. The theater was renovated in 2007 and was renamed the Fillmore as part of a management contract. It is now home to live concerts, productions and can be rented for special events. The theater is now operated and managed exclusively by Live Nation. On May 5, 2010, NBC Miami reported that the theater would be demolished as a result of remodeling for the Convention Center, which would replace the theater with a new hotel.
