About us
Situated in northern Johannesburg, in the heart of Sandton's business, hotel and entertainment district, Sandton Convention Centre offers easy access to over 5 000 hotel rooms, is adjacent to the country's top shopping and entertainment complexes and provides nearly 11 000 secure parking bays. The 12-storey building has more than 22 000 m² of meeting, exhibition and special event space. Multiple events can be staged simultaneously on four levels and up to 10 000 visitors can be accommodated at any one time. Room capacities range from a 10-seat function room to the Pavilion, which can cater for 4 500 cocktail guests. Simple, uncluttered interior finishes form the ideal background to a substantial collection of authentic Southern African art. Over a hundred pieces are on display on the public levels. These works of art by famous names such as Noria Mabasa and Jackson Hlongwane provide an overview of contemporary Southern African art and traditional craftwork. These artworks are a showcase of our rich and varied heritage and provide a platform for the celebration of African expression and creativity.
