Getting Here

From Tampa via I-75: 40 miles south; Interstate 75 south to Exit 224, west on US 301, left onto Haben Blvd. Go approximately 1 mile. From St. Petersburg-Clearwater: 26 miles south; Interstate 275 south over Sunshine Skyway Bridge to US 19-South eventually merges into US 41. Continue toward Bradenton on US 41 (not Business 41). The Convention Center is at the intersection of US 41/301 and Haben Blvd. From Sarasota via I-75: 12 miles north on Interstate 75 to Exit 224. Head west on US 301 to Haben Blvd. Left at Haben Blvd. Continue approximately 1 mile. From Sarasota via US 301 or US 41: Head north on either highway. The two highways will merge. Continue heading north past the Manatee Memorial Hospital. Go over the De Soto Bridge and look for the Convention Center on the right, less than 1 mile.

Welcome to Gamble Plantation Historic State Park. Come join us for a tour of a historic sugar plantation mansion. This antebellum mansion was home to Major Robert Gamble and is the only surviving plantation house in South Florida. It is believed that Confederate Secretary of State, Judah P. Benjamin, took refuge here after the fall of the Confederacy, until his safe passage to England could be secured. Guided tours of the house are given six times a day, Thursday through Monday and there are picnic tables on the grounds. Plan your wedding here, we have beautiful grounds for your background of any event! The park is a great place to spend your lunch hour, so bring your picnic items and join us for a mansion tour in the afternoon.
