Over ons

De Firenze Fiera, een meesterwerk van de militaire Renaissance-architectuur, werd ontworpen door Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane in opdracht van hertog Alessandro de' Medici, en werd gebouwd tussen 1534 en 1537. De Firenze Fiera is sinds 1967 altijd de hoofdlocatie van het expositiecentrum in Florence geweest en is strategisch gelegen in het historische stadscentrum. De Firenze Fiera heeft een totale oppervlakte van bijna 100.000 m², waarvan meer dan de helft overdekt is, en het is een ideale plek voor tentoonstellingen en congressen met een groot aantal deelnemers, dankzij de mogelijkheid om een plenaire zaal te bouwen met maximaal 2.200 zitplaatsen, evenals een perfecte plek voor officiële recepties en gala-evenementen. Deze complexe en prestigieuze omgeving combineert charmante en perfect gerestaureerde historische plekken (zoals de Quartieri Monumentali - het monumentale gebied - of de Polveriera) met moderne paviljoens, zoals het Spadolini-paviljoen, gebouwd op drie verdiepingen (geopend in 1977) en het meer recent gebouwde Cavaniglia-paviljoen (geopend in 1996). De conservatieve restauratie van het hele gebied werd uitgevoerd op basis van de ruimtebestemming en de eisen van organisatoren van evenementen, exposanten en bezoekers.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
