Später wurde es zu einem Tempel erweitert. Im zweiten Jahr der Tang-Dynastie Jingyun (711 n. Chr.) verlieh ihm Kaiser Ruizong den Namen Lingyan-Tempel, der vom berühmten Kalligrafen Liu Gongquan geschrieben wurde. Im ersten Jahr der Taiping-Nation der Song-Dynastie (976 n. Chr.) benannte ihn Kaiser Song Tai Zong in Guanghua-Tempel um.
