Tieshanping Forest Park is located in the eastern part of the main city of Chongqing, in the middle section of the Tongluo Mountains and the hinterland of the Liangjiang New Area. It is adjacent to the Yufu Industrial Park in the Liangjiang New Area to the east, the Yangtze River to the south, facing Nanshan across the river, the Cuntan Bonded Port Area to the west, and Yufeng Mountain in Yubei to the north. The total area of Tieshanping Forest Park is 14.93 square kilometers, with a highest altitude of 583.9 meters. The park features the Monk's Temple and the ruins of the ancient battlefield, as well as the "Ten Scenic Spots of Tieshan" including the facing sky of the bronze gong, the distant bell of the Monk's Official, the sound of the secluded valley gong, the rain listening in the Zen Garden, the holy spring of Tieshan, the Suojiang Site, the fragrance seeking in the flower fields, the Yunling Range, the starry sky in the grasslands, and the Songying River Moon. In April 2014, Tieshanping Forest Park was rated as a national AAAA level tourist attraction. On October 23, 2016, Tieshanping Forest Park was included in the second batch of "China Forest Oxygen Bars". On September 20, 2019, Tieshanping Forest Park was awarded the honorary title of "National Greening Model Unit" by the National Greening Committee.
