Gasthof Rossli is located in Biel. Our restaurant is known far and wide for good food in a cozy atmosphere, with a la carte menu and weekly specialties, to business lunches and banquets. Features of course includes a large selection of fine wines from Europe, California and Australia. t is a popular venue in the countryside and yet only 8 km from Basel. The eleven hotel rooms, 9 of which are equipped with amenities offering rural peace and comfort for guests who wish to stay longer with us. The garden restaurant with old trees, we offer a salad buffet and barbecue with room for 80 people; a real treat on sunny days under the shade of chestnut trees. As an aperitif garden for your special occasion we can serve up to 120 people. In our beautiful garden restaurant with mature trees, we offer you a wide selection of grilled specialties. Our hotel rooms offer rural tranquility and comfort, with views of the countryside over adjoining farmland through to related Jura hills.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!
